So, I'm a slacker. I rarely follow through with anything that I set my mind to. I get really excited for it all to start, but as I get about a week in, I give up. June is going to be about a new me. We have book our trip to Mexico for a very special person's wedding in November and I'm feeling like a beached whale. I must get fit and live my best life. This starts today...
We just got back from our annual Durango, CO trip. Normally we go with our good friends, but this year they flaked and went to Mexico instead, I'm not going to lie and say it didn't sting a bit, but I guess it's true that its true, the older you get the more you find out no one really cares about your feelings. We still had an awesome time. The weather was wonderful. The 4 days were spent with a day on the Animas River with Mountain Waters Rafting (our guide Andrew was awesome and turns out he helped us out big time on a previous Durango trip), pool time, Mesa Verde National Park, relaxing with cocktails, and of course the Seafood Boil at Steamworks Brewery. I love Durango, It never disappoints. My nose is peeling and my heart is full of great memories.
Now the work begins. We have one more week of meal delivery. We have been subscribing to the Blue Apron and Marley Spoon boxes. I love them. Having meals delivered really cuts down on us going out to eat so much. My one complaint is that they are expensive. It is cheaper than going out to eat for every meal, which is something that we are known to do, but they still cost way more than going to the grocery store yourself. We are going to start a Whole 30 on June 4th. This means lots and lots of meal planning. I'm able to get some help with this from Emeals, I use the Paleo Plan and cut out all of the Whole 30 noncompliant items like honey that recipes may use.
I also started to subscribe to Daily Burn. All Beginners Program. It felt great. This must continue.
I'm going to be spending the next week meal planning and budgeting. This is all going to be an adventure. One that I am ready for. One that must happen. One that is long overdue. Just when you thought life couldn't get much better...
